ارزیابی عوامل خطر در عود سنگهای ادراری در شهر همدان

Abstract:
Background: Renal stone disease is one of the most common problems in urology field. This cross-sectional study was done to determinate the causes of recurrent urinary stone disease in Hamadan city. Methods: All patients with recurrent renal stones who referred for treatment or follow up in nephrology and urology centers, participated in study and were compared with a control group. We filled demographic check list and did physical examination, and some plasma and urine laboratory tests were requested. For data analysis descriptive statistical test, t-test, Chi-square-Fischer test were used. Results: Data analysis showed that 46.9 percent of cases had positive familial history of renal stone disease. Independent T-test showed significant differences between some of predisposing factors when it was used for comparing cases and controls. Results were P=0.035, 0.0001, 0.012 for 24 hour urine calcium, uric acid and oxalate, respectively and P=0.005 for both serum calcium and phosphate. Conclusion: There were basic factors of recurrent renal stone disease such as hypercalciuria, hyperuricosuria, hypocitraturia, hyperoxaluria, elevated serum iPTH, hypercalcemia, and hypophosphatemia in high percent of participants that each of them can be a separate factor to form and recurrence of renal stone in patients.
